Reconstructive Services

Reconstructive Surgery

Viewing your loved one facilitates the grieving process. Our Reconstructive Services involves everything from setting a peaceful facial expression, to erasing the ravaging signs of age, long-term illness, and trauma, to recreating the deceased’s individual style with regard to hair, nails and makeup. We advise this service for accident and severe trauma cases, where the family would like to view the diseased.

When a death occurs resulting in severe trauma or disfiguration from an accident, extensive procedures may be needed to enable family and loved ones to view the diseased. Fatal injuries can lead to facial disfiguration that may need restoring. Many a time families are misled into believing that their loved one is not viewable. Kindly consult with us to determine whether an individual can be reconstructed and restored for viewing.

To restore the deceased to a viewable state is more desirable than closing the coffin and never seeing your loved one again. Viewing provides comfort for family and friends, enabling them to see their loved one and personally say goodbye, and it is instrumental to the beginning of a positive grief journey.

Our in-house team of Reconstructive Specialists are highly experienced and internationally trained, to offer a specialized service unparalleled in the industry. Our team boast decades of expertise, ensuring the highest standard of care and professionalism throughout the process.

Setting the features

Special attention is paid to other parts of the body such as cleaning the fingernails and removing any stains on the body. Unsightly ear and facial hair are trimmed and removed. The eyes will be closed using plastic eye caps or body adhesive, while the mouth will be closed by suture.

Grooming and hairstyling

With proper application of makeup, the deceased can look like they’re in peaceful slumber. The aim is to achieve a more life-like restful appearance. The hair is also brushed and styled using hairsprays and gels as needed.

Dressing the diseased

Finally, the deceased will be dressed in the clothes provided by the family.
